could use some help

hello everyone, im having a problem on which sub to get. What i have so far is the supercrew sound box, with the extra mounting depth. A JL g1700 amp, which puts out 700w RMS. I was planning on getting the 10w3 but i just figured out it wont fit because i was looking at the 10w3v2 rather than the 10w3v3. So i thought i might go with the 10w1v2, This might be a dumb question but can i pair a 10w1v2 with that amp or will i blow the sub? Thanks

The amp would suit 2 10w1's much better...I would turn the gain down all the way with just 1 cause JLAudio.com suggests the 10w1's optimal rms should be only 150 watts. Or you could send the box back and get a Fox Acoustics box which fits 2 10w3v3's with ease for $140.

I just put 2 10W1v2-4' s in my 09 Supercrew, downfiring enclosed box
Kenwood Mono Amp KAC9104D, Audiopipe Cap-150 1.5 Farad, Pyramid Gold CR-66 Electronic Crossover
It freakin pounds, nice clear crisp bass. Very happy with it.
I would recommend the 10W1's.

I haven't heard any of the other JL subs, but the 10w1's fit nicely under the rear seat and sound great.

Love to see how you guys fit the 10w1's under the seat with a box. I had trouble getting a 13tw5 under seat witout the seat resting on the box and cracking the seat handle. That was with a custom fit box.

Barritia 2 10w1s would fit with ease because most ppl build/buy a down-firing box and the seat can just rest on top of the box, and there is a small gap between the floor and the box. And I dont know if the 09s have a similar seat but in the 04-08s, the front of the box is taller because the seat support curves up at the front of the seat so that is where the magnet is positioned. Look at www.foxacoustics.com at the 04-08 box...you can see the extra depth plates are at the front of the box where the seat support is higher, and that box gives you a 6 1/8" mounting depth and 1 1/4" clearance under the box...so there is plenty of room for a 10w1 you see.
