Its been done. What are your goals as far as sound? Competitions? I got a 03 Ext cab and built a box for 2 10's. Definatly more then enough sound comming out of it. I dont even turn up the sub gain enough to start sounding distorted, so like I said you can keep everything nice and neat under your seat. Also I didnt lift it up with the LMI kit like some will recommend to you. I just built it tall enough so a little pressure on the seat for a tight fit and called it good. BTW subs are older Premiere 10's 400 Rms with a 900watt alphasonik amp bridged to 1 channel. So it doesnt need to get crazy to be loud. just hooked up right and a good built box to spec!

I have a 98 and had the issue of not having enough room under the seats for my subs. I have 2 shallow 10" Kicker CVT's and i didn't want to loose the function of the back seat of my truck.

Just an idea but i built a box that sits on the floor in the middle of the backseat and rests on the seat in an "L" shape. one sub is downfire resting on top of the middle seat and the other is on the front towards the front seats. It works well as an armrest and holds both subs. Best of all i can take it out if needed.

dont have pics up but i can take some later today if you want.

I would jsut rip out the whole back seat and just build a massive box for two tens or twelves, i did so and it was well worth it, two kicker comps, sound amazing. want pics?

Do two 12's underneth the back seat downfiring. Or 10's if your not a bass head.

How are the Polk Mobile Monitors? Would they be an upgrade from my 10w1v2?
I'm building a new box for 2 and upgrading from just one sub.

I love the new Mobile Monitors, although JL makes very good products too. I would say they would be around the same, im guessing though i never have heard a 10w1v2.
