NEED HELP, SOMEONE HELP ME OUT, Sub question.........................................

Okay so I bought a 12" JL w0 and its in a crazy big box, but it's just temporary and I bought an 800W kenwood, but I'm only gonna run it at about 500W, Okay but now to my question..................

I have everything hooked up to the amp correctly I believe and the amp's getting power, but the sub seems like it'snot getting any power and my buddy bought it for his girlfriend like 2 years ago and she never used it, well they broke up and so she sold it and I'm friends with her old boyfriend and he's actually works at an audio/video store, but he's been so busy doing installs he hasn't had any time to help me out. What could it be?

* I'm using the stock radio/head unit so I bought the RCA adapater and I need help(pictures would be great), because I heard it's possible to just wire the rca adapter up to the rear speakers does this sound right? i'll go take some pictures.

thanks,
David

You said the amp is getting power? Are the gains just really low to wear it seems like it is not operating?

Did you get the rca adaptor installed right?

With the RCA adapter it comes with like 4 wires off of it and 2 of them go to one rear speaker and the other 2 go to the other rear speaker right? this will work anyways wouldnt it?

And I made sure like the positive wires are in the same spot on both sides and I made sure the negatives were wired up in the same spot so I dont get it. I f*cked with it for like 4 hours getting it all set up and now its down to the nitty gritty and its *****ng me off.

Hey with that adapter and stock head unit, can't I run my remote wire to my fuse box or does it HAVE TO BE behind the stock head unit?

One more thing, what fuse or empty fuse spot should I wire the remote wire up to if I do it through the fuse box. I've tried everything but ignition????? try that maybe

I like to tie into my accessory wire for the remotes that way when the truck shuts down the interior after 10 min so will the amp. Do you have a name of the rca adapter? I would like to read the literature on it to help diagnose if it is hooked up right. I have never had to use one of those.

It looks like you hooked it up right but I would tie into the wires for the front speakers just a personal preference but if you start to fad the music to the front then the sub would get quieter as well. How are you taping into your wires? Are you making good solid connections?

I dont know if the rear speakers see low signal from the head unit. You may just need to replace the HU.

Some LOC devices have a small gain on them, if yours has one you can try turning it up accordingly.
