I have (2) SS RLi-8 in a custom center sealed box, and i love it! One fires foward and one down. Take a look at my Albums for a complete tutorial for what I did. Great pounding sound with less space.

thats a beautiful box there skip!
my buddy and i tossed around the idea of a single 10W7 in that location, but decided against it....not really sure why, we both just felt like 4 8's would add to the fun. great box tho! and its nice to hear so many people lovin there sound splinters.

4 8's are fun if you have the power. I'd recommend getting another 900w amp if your gonna run the rl-i's

if you have to hold off, hold off. waiting to do it the way you want is better than half assing it and then redonging it later

No, they do not have to be. Their alignment prefers it but its not mandatory.

put the seat lift in today...went a bit smoother once i threw away the LMI instructions and used my noggin.
tomorrow we are going to start building the box...i decided 2 tens would give me about the same sound as the 8's plus allow me to keep the amps out from behind the back of the seat because i dont want them to get heated.
plus they look pretty cool so an amp rack under the 40% section will be nice and easily accesible...

ill take some pictures when its done so you can all tell me how sloppy and ****ty it looks.

Sounds about the same thing I did with the instructions I just got pissed and took off the back rest so I could get at everything easy. What r u using for tens that u can fit under one side of the seat?

Amps will not overheat on the backwall.

we have to do the numbers to make sure they will fit.
im lookin at the Kicker CompVR 07CVR102...but we will see where i end up.
we might do all the math and scratch the amp rack idea all together. at this point we are thinking down firing because it is the most protected.

well i pulled a couple 8's out of a friends garage just to play around with...i wanted to get a better idea of that it would look like with 4 of them facing forword on a box...and theres just not alot of room to work with, and as soon as someone sat back there they are gunna get kicked....so i scratched the 8's for that reason.
im still open to creative suggestions...but now that ive really seen the small amount of space im working with im running low on inspiration...
