A little help in sub selection!

Okay guys i'm a little new here and need some help. I just bought an Alpine MRP-M1000 amplifier and I want to power a 15 inch Alpine type R subwoofer. My question is should i go with the 2-OHM load sub or the 4-OHM sub. I plan on putting it in a ported box that is compliant to the subwoofer specifications. I want the most bass out of the sub that i can get. Also how should I wire the sub? Any comments or suggestions would be great. Thanks

Pick up the SWR-1542 (Dual 4 ohm coils).

Didn't you already say you were going ported?
