Subwoofer rattling

So I bought my new system about a month ago...sounds great. The subwoofers had some rattling inside the box so I ran it by the place and he told me the box had an air leak...and they replaced it with a new box for free....but hearing the new box...it rattles worse than the old one..Help!!

its been a while since i had my sub in my truck but i am willing to bet you are about to have a blown sub on your hands the coils are on there way out. if im remembering this correctly my sub did this like 2 times and i needed a new one each time it will prob be covered under the manufacture warranty though. by no mean am i an expert in audio wish i was but unfortunantly dont know that much as of now.

Take it back to the shop. If they did the install and set everything up they should try to fix it for you.

Have you always heard this rattling noise, or is it something new?

Could be a blown or burnt sub. The pre fab boxes are generally of low quality so an air leak is very likely. Try your subs in a different box and see if you can figure out the problem.

The rattling in the first box was somewhat subtle but now it is almost unbearable..
