Are you buying or selling?

Wow I just looked at those Fi subs and they're handbuilt in Nevada. Props on picking those out. They look like they're quality made.

Go with a different amp man. Looks like you're buying from an audio shop with the looks of the prices. MMATS makes great amplifiers and they're built in Florida. Check out the D1100. Should be perfect for your sub. Retail is $600, but I'm sure a dealer will have a lower cost than that.

Eh I've never been a fan of places building boxes so unless they have a rep for quality boxes do it yourself if you have the tools, but generally speaking if the place some clue of what they're doing the box will be better than a pre fab one.

What wires are you going to be using for your install? IMO you should wire it yourself.

Buying

And i think im going to not get the BP power on the sub and go with the alpine M1000 amp for money reasons... So this would bring the total down to ~$1000... And i have no idea about wires... And this place seems very reputable about building boxes. Im going to talk to them on saturday about how much a custom box and install would cost. So what do you think of the new plans?

10" FI Audio Q ~$245
Alpine V Power M1000 amp ~$280
LMI Seat lift ~$155
Custom Box ~$200
Install ~ Maybe i can do on my own? If so how hard?

Ok let's make things easier. What brands does that place sell as far as amplifiers bc it seems you like the place? I wouldn't get the Alpine...

I'm guessing you've never done an audio install before...It won't be hard considering all you're doing is an amp and sub. I'll explain it if you decide to.

What head unit do you have? Have any aftermarket door speakers?

fi makes great subwoofers i say your on the right track but i think you should give the installation a shot before you spend your money on having it installed, you never know unless you try

1. The place i like sells memphis audio, alpine, and rocksford forsgate
2. I have the Pioneer AVIC F900BT HU. Me and my dad installed it and i have to admit it was pretty tough with the bypass and everything. But i bet we could conquer a sub and an amp
3. And i have the audiophile so it came with upgraded door speakers i think

The audiophile?

Okay don't take this the wrong way, but don't buy an amp from them. Simply put those brands don't make good amplifiers anymore. How much do you want to spend on an amp? What about the wires?

What are you talking about?? I thought memphis was one of the best for making amps

And Low what amp would you use for a 10" Fi Q? The 1100 Memphis or the 1000 V Power Alpine?

Not at all compared to pretty much every old school amplifier and a few newer brands. They're both oriental made brands which in a nutshell means every mainstream brand is cheaply made garbage, besides the HU's. I've used and experimented with LOTS of equiptment. Oriental stuff simply falls short of the great build quality, actual power, and clarity from amps that made in the US. As far as new school amps go RF and Alpine amps are not that great, especially for the money. For example a MMATS with the same wattage as either of those in class d or a/b will smoke them hands down.

Have you ever owned anything that had was quality and setup right to compare to the RF too? Bc that amp is not the wattage it says on the birth sheet and the low distortion it says on there is bogus too.

You have been misinformed man. Memphis is not a great amplifier. If you enjoy wasting money on products that are sub par to others in the same price range go ahead and buy one, but if the opportunity ever arose to compare a quality amp to your Memphis or Alpine you will wish had gotten a better amplifier because it's a night and day difference.

first of all, if every mainstream brand was cheaply made garbage then they obviously not sell the amount of product they do, sure there are uneducated people out there that buy whatever but there are also educated people out there that know for a fact that the mainstream brands are not garbage, is kicker garbage? no they are good subs for the money depending on what your looking for, same with jl audio and a few others, and RF still does make some very decent amps, top of the line? not all of them no but have you seen the t15kw? that thing is about as close to top of the line as i have seen, and memphis makes very good amplifiers for the money, not the best out there no but probaly one of the best bang for your buck amps you can get, just because you are brand loyal doesnt mean you have to make false statements and try to make everyone else believe them

Man, i don't know where you come off saying that. You don't have a creditability on this site for any to take you statements seriously. But think what you want.

the guy tried to tell me an IDMAX was a piece of junk and over rated...... Trust me you aren't the only one who has called him out or is questioning his knowledge.
