What size subs?
Make sure you have the amount of internal volume the subs need.

Okay size really doesnt matter, unless you want to get low low hair trick kinda stuff. One quality 10" in a well built box will out do anything youve probably heard.

I pulled out my 2- 12's that was in a bandpass box and went back to my 1cf sealed 10" polk momo. Sure the 12's would hit like a sledge against your back but the SQ wasn't there. Just low rumble that is good for "Urban" music. In a rush I pulled that huge 4cf box out and tossed in the 10 I had in the garage already setup. I cranked the bass and boosted the amps and it hit really hard and if it blows, oh well. Seriously though if you get a solid 10" in a good box pushed by a quality amp you can get really impressive bass.

I have a small Q-logic, very pricey really for a box but I bought it a long time ago in a dumb rush. You can check musicmoose.com or supercrewsound.com for boxes they (supercrew) sells ID subs in a package deal which are pretty highly recommended.
