wood type

what kind of wood do you guys use on your sub boxes?

MDF. Medium Density Fiberboard. your local hardware store should carry it.

1/2 or 3/4 HDF
3/4 or 1" Birch
3/4 or 1" Marine Grade Plywood

Birch or more generic - MDF, but that is not actually 'wood'.

3/4 MDF. Very easy to work with and cheap. It's also the most commonly used for all enclosures from small to massive.

yes sir, idk about your area, but i went to lowes to get some and they wanted $30+ for 49x96
went to home depot and got it for $23

only difference is thickness and price.....how heavy are the speakers you plan on using?
