Build

Just started this today. Finish the box tomorrow and seal it/load subs, pull the seat and run wire (8 gauge in there now, thats not gonna cut it). Not in a real hurry, plus it hasn't stopped snowing here for 2 days.

2 DD 1508
1 AQ1200D
2.1 cubes before displacement at 40 Hz

Heres the truck. Nothing too special. Covered in an ungodly amount of s*** right now. Wide tires + dirty snow = not that sweet.

Wow. Those photos came off my CrackBerry. I didn't expect them to be that good.
It will be finished in black fleckstone. I think thats the name. Textured stuff that comes out of a spray can.

2 15s and only 2.1 cubes? Sorry im not ported box expert, so correct me if I'm wrong, but that box size sounds tiny for those woofers.

Yeah sorry I wasn't clear on that, nor much else. They are the 1500 series 8 inch woofers, Digital Designs recommends 1 cube (or a bit less) per woofer before displacements. I couldn't believe how heavy they are, like 16 or 18 pounds - magnet is almost as wide as the sub, and I love the 12 gauge wire coming right off the basket.
Amp is an AudioQue 1200D, 1200x1 at 1 ohm.
Subs driver side forward, port is side firing passenger side. Using Titebond II & silicone sealer in lieu of terminal cups.

Do they carry any quality power/ground/speaker wire at Circuit City, Best Buy, or Tweeter? Even Radio Shack? Ive got some 1/0 cable I was thinking of using that we had lying around the shop, but its 40 degrees and I doubt its flexible enough to get it off the spool. I only need like 6 feet total of it.

Do you know what a DD 1508 is? Its an 8 inch subwoofer that requires 1 cubic foot when ported. There are two of them. 1 + 1 = 2. This has been said twice in this thread.

Just got my Kicker Hyperflex 1/0. This stuff is unbelievable. Its like spaghetti. Going to finish up the box tonight, paint it and wire up the truck tomorrow, and hopefully be getting bass by Wednesday.

More pics tonight.

Low E you said you sell it by the foot? how much does it run I am getting everything I need for my install. I am going to be needing at least 25' 1/0 power and enough 1/0 ground to do the big4 and to ground the amp. Also I would need about 6' 4ga power and 6' 4ga ground. I am trying to plan out, and if with shipping it is cheaper to get it through you then I would have to place an order.
