Musicmoose or supercrewsound?

Who makes the better box of these two? I have read in older posts that subs will hit carpet on the Musicmoose box. Is this still a problem? There are other boxes on Ebay from VMI Innovations and Rodneys custom speaker boxes for similar prices anybody familiar with these? I am thinking of going with 2-10's. Box will go into an '05 Supercab

stay away from the ebay boxes. I ordered one a long time back and it didn't have the advertised mounting depth. Cheaper not to send it back and just give the guy a bad review. Far as musicmoose vs supercrew I think more people here have went with supercrew since they have been known longer. Quality wise. well flip a coin.

The musicmoose uses 3/4" MDF, the supercrewsound box uses 1/2".

The musicmoose box doesnt leave much room for excursion, the supercrewsound box does.

Both have ups and downs.

Plan on re-sealing every interior joint and the speaker wire connector if you want anything close to a sealed enclosure...mine arrived with more air gaps than your average barn.

Sounds like they are not what they are cracked up to be. Maybe I need to look at something else.

If you are crafty, you are much better off building your own. If not, buy one and plan on doing your own quality control and final sealing.

The pre-fab boxes (from your shortlisted sites) are put together very quickly and not quality controlled at all. The benefit in buying one is that the dimensions are set for a custom fit and they are cut, nailed, and carpeted. The downside is that they are fairly expensive for what you get and you will definately have to re-seal the entire thing. Also, the speaker connector thingy looked like you could buy the same thing from WalMart for about $0.25.

he said nailed.

I never seen speaker terminals at wal-mart maybe best buy and radio shack or order them from places like partsexpress.com. The boxes from the above listed places are pretty good quality. The box I was talking about would be good for shallow subs. It was sealed up and the carpet was pretty good quality. But if your worried about quality then check out this guys builds: http://www.fishercustoms.com/
