Replacing system in King Ranch
Replacing system in King Ranch
I am looking to put in a new Alpine 505 DVD/Nav unit and new front/rear speakers (alpine Spx series) I will replace the factory sub and I am thinking about a supercrewsound.com dual for under the back seat with 2 10" subs. Where have folks put the amps to drive sub. I will need two amps one for the sub box and one for the front/rear speakers. Can you still mount under back seat in the sub box? Can you remove the back seat and mount on the back wall? Any suggestions would be a big help. Thanks, Sonjack
I have an 08 supercrew. I put a 12" pioneer shallow under the rear seat (driver's side) and two rockford fosgate amplifiers under the rear seat (passenger side). The installer stacked the amps on top of one another with a spacer to allow them to breathe. Came out very nice. Anyway, the pioneer shallow sub was awful, so I got them to swap it out for a rockford fosgate 12" shallow. The RF is a much better better speaker. SQ is pretty good considering it is a 12" subwoofer with only 4" or so of depth. Not perfect, but pretty good. Alot of people use the supercrew sound boxes. They look a little tight to me, but I have never used one. I got my box custom built at a local shop. $150.

Thanks, brauditor. I think that may make more sense, one 12" sub and use the other side for the amps. I am not sure what the KR has but I am guessing a 8" sub in the factory spot. I will take a look at the 12's. Did you replace any other speakers? Thanks
I replaced everything. Pioneer Premier AVIC-F90BT(in-dash gps), Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS(front doors), Pioneer Premier TS-A832P(rear doors), Rockford Fosgate Power T400-2(front door components), Rockford Fosgate Power T500-1bd(subwoofer), and Rockford Fosgate Punch P3SD412 Shallow-mount(under driver's side rear seat. I got all the equipment from sonic electronix. I will try to post some pics of the rear seat install later today. Hope this helps.

I am not having any luck posting pictures. I did create a photo album, so if you click on my username, it should lead you to it.
