Need advice on a budget door speaker upgrade for supercrew
I'm toying with upgrading my door speakers this winter, but don't really know where to start. I listen to everything from indie rock, to country, to jazz, to rap, you name it, I've got it on my ipod. I don't want to blast my music out of my truck, but I'd like to be able to turn it up a little loud and have it play crystal clear and sound great. Ideally, I'd like to stay under $300, but could go to $400 if I absolutely had to. Within my budget, would it be better to go with or without an amp? Also, would be better to go with components and ditch the rear, or go with coaxial speakers front and rear?
2 ch amp and a set of 6.5 components would make you VERY happy. either ditch the rear or run your rear stockers faded way back.
For s good, cheap set look at the Phoenix Gold RSD components. Match them with a nice 2 channel amp, and it will fit your budget and sound pretty good.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've heard a few people talk about how great Hertz is. Where can I buy a set of these speakers, and which line of Hertz speakers should I look at?

Here's their link. I bought their energy series. Pretty inexpensive.

Yeah I'm looking at the Hertz HSK 165 set. Anybody know of any reputable/common retailers I can easily order these from? The few sites I've seen them on are over in Europe. Also can somebody recommend a cheap 2 channel amp to power these speakers?

Does anybody know about the site audiostreams.cc? I found a set of the Hertz HSK 165 speakers for $200 here: http://www.audiostream.cc/hertz-component-p-3.html
The reason I'm asking is it seems like these speakers are more expensive than I thought (sounds like they go for around $350?) yet they are listed for $200 at this site. I want to make sure that what I'm buying is legit, and I'm not getting scammed here.
edit:
I was thinking of going with this Phoenix Gold 2 channel amp to power these components:
