interference with speakers when truck is running.

i have a compleate system in my truck pioneer head, MTX 4-way amp., and four 6x9 speakers. so i just replaced my crappy ebay speakers with some SPS-609 alpines. and thats all i did now when my truck is running i am getting a whining like interference, and the more gas i give it the higher pitched the whining gets. so does anyone have a clue of whats causing it?

How is your amp? Could they be getting to much power when you get at higher speekds and have a type of static to them?

I currently have this, check the rcs on the amp, you might of moved them or maybe 2 are touching, Im not really sure but that would be where I would start, then I could check the amps grounds and make sure that your steel piece is touching bare metal and not painted metal. If its all the speakers I would check your speaker wire connections to the amp.

the whining is the same all through the volume even at zero the only way to make it stop is to turn off the radio. my amp is good for all i know its an mtx i dont know what model though. i think there is a slight static in them. two questions why would my ground suddenly go bad with these speakers and what is the RCS?

I mean your RCA's I accidently hit the s instead of the a. Why your ground went bad? We still dont know if it is your ground, but maybe if you upgraded your speaker wire, your allowing a higher current to go through them, which in turn makes the sound more noticible in your new speakers, when in reality you have had this problem all along. If thats the case (which I guess we will never know) then I would first remove your current ground and try a new location. Doesnt have to be permanent but just see if the whine goes away, if it doesnt try 1 more spot just to be sure then place your ground back to where you had it originally. Unplug your rcas, and then plug them in 1 at a time and see if each speaker has whines or just certain ones. Then we could go from there.

It's alternator noise.

Try pulling out the stereo, unhooking the yellow(always hot) wire, and run a jumper from that to your positive terminal on your battery.

If that doesn't work do the same thing with the ground wire. A bad ground at the head unit can do the same thing.

That fixed mine.
#1 Pioneer stereo's have crappy sound canceling circuitry.
#2 Ford must run the wire for the stereo close to the alternator wires.

The reason you are hearing the noise after new speakers is probably because the new tweeters produce the high pitched noise better so ya hear it better.
