Well Low....
Funny, I always thought there were to many city people on here.I know what your saying on a nice finished peice and I usually like to have my things like that...but as I said, its just a rough first time deal that will be covered up and probably be thrown away in 3 months for a completly different deal (like replacing the whole factory speaker grille). Hell I didnt even plan on using filler unless is a necessity
Procrastination is a GOD!
Haha, I know I know. Its probably going to be the b@stard child of fiberglass and have anyone that knows anything about fiberglass shaking their head
That would be sig worthy if I had the room.
Well....I didnt get shlit done today...SUPRISE!
Pulled out the mids and the baffle I had them mounted on and played with some different angles, but I had other stuff to work on so I didnt get anything accomplished.
Not as much room in there as I had remembered either, might have to change plans some...

hey low, how many layers of glass do you usually use and how much body filler?
also, what grit sandpaper?
ive done a couple boxes and they came out ok, but id really like to learn more about it and be a little more efficient

80 grit is all thats really needed to knock down filler.
1/8" AT MOST! of body filler. The least possible. If using fleece, get your shape and get it set. Then when ready to fill, you want it just where the fleece is starting to show. But the filler is easiest to sand and work with just at the point where its set but not yet hard. I recommend using a "cheese grater" and when it is to the right point, it will not clog the grater but come off like grated cheese...
Theres a lot of knowledge to let go, but you really are going to have to ask the right questions. Theres no way in hell I would be able to let all the knowledge out just as is. But Id love to help you learn a bit better tips/techniques
x10000!!!!
Bondo is crap stuff.
I havent painted my stuff. I normally just wrap it in Vinyl, leather, suede, or carpet. Just depends on the order. I would only assume, that it would be sand with 80, 240, 600, 1K, then primer, wetsand that and paint.
I was going to try it, but havent had the money lately. The mobile electronics industry is TANKING! Im a staunch repub. but I am almost for impeaching anyone and everyone making things 4.xx a gallon, its killing my business.

Blame the Liberal Congress not letting us drill for oil.
seriously, like who cares if we kill of some random *** animal
if they are that close to going extinct, they are going to die at some point
sounds cruel, but really
on the other hand, from what i have heard, the estimated amount of oil in alaska would only supply us for like 1 year
ANWR however........
