Thanks for the comments everyone . My05fx4 , Although I had slightly more room behind my seat than you do(Maybe 2 inches), I would do something similar if i had your truck . There were more than a few stereo shops that said my install was impossible in my year truck . You should of seen the look on there face when i walked them out and showed them my truck . I kind of chuckled when I read your post( I sure wish I had room behind my seat like that). Well I didn't have the room either , I made the room . I moved the rear seat up 2" and forward 2" , Then there were metal channels(that stuck out 2-3") along the back wall that had to be cut out , so the amps and sub box could set flush against the back wall , along with many other modifications . I have about 400 hours in my install .

 

Does that hit pretty hard in a box that small? Either way it looks damn good man. I put myself in a situation where I had to lose part of my seat to make it fit with a 13w7 , but hey no regrets here, that thing makes some serious racket...way more than my old 12's I had.

 

Hey 1 bad, how hard was the expy console install?

 

Very simple as long as you get the 2 metal mounting brackets, that the Expedition uses . So for anyone buying Expedition center consoles , make sure you confirm with the seller that the brackets are included . I bought mine off Ebay for $200.00 and got lucky that the brackets were included .
