Rockford Fosgate P3L-S12 Enclosure

Anyone know anything about these enclosures. My main worry is the fit under the rear seat. At purchase i was told it would fit. I set it under there and one side of the PUNCH ring (raised outer edge of speaker) rests on a hump toward the middle of the cab. Will that be a problem? Should the speaker still have enough travel space? It was a tight fit and it will stick out a little in front of the seat. I apologize for being an idiot about sound systems, but that is what forums are for! I picked up a RF P500-2 amp, 2 Pioneer 3way 6x8 for the rear and 2 4ways for the front, and a Pioneer DEH-P7000BT head unit also. Hopefully I will be good to go and rockin soon! Let me know what ya think! This site rocks!!!

well from what i read about that sub it is a shallow mount sub so it should fit under the rear seat with a custom box built for it

It already comes in a box/enclosure. I'm just hoping it will work under the seat. It's not going to be a perfect fit, but I am hoping it works ok! I'm getting everything installed Saturday. I was just hoping before then someone could tell me one way or another if it'll fit good enough and if the little hump in the middle of the cab will affect the speaker performance, IF anyone has even tried it. I think they are fairly new though.

Hello fine F150 owners! Good News on my system install! I had the Rockford Fosgate P3L-S12 Enclosure installed today, and despite my fitment concerns, it FITS and sounds good too!!! I downfired the enclosure and the installers mounted the Rockford Fosgate 500-2 amp under the rear seat on the passenger side, new Pioneer 6x8's all around, and a Pioneer DEH-7000BT HU. It all sounds real good and crisp! So, it seems the RF enclosure could be another option for us F150 owners who want a 12" sub. No seat lift required either! It does stick out on the front of the seat maybe 1/2", no biggie. I put a link to the enclosure in a previous post in this thread if anyone wants to check it out.

I plan to take some when I get off work tonight, then I need to figure out how to load them on here! Never done that before! Lol! I need to get the camera out anyway to get some pictures of the shaker 500 that was previously in the truck to put on ebay!
