well, here it is structuraly complete in the truck, now i gotta cover it. it hits hard and sounds clear, though i did make an oopsie somewhere in the wiring. i plugged up the two to the amp the way i was supposed to, and i was barely getting any sound, so i tried each speaker individually and they hit way harder than the 2 wired at the same time. so i got the wacky idea of reversing the poles of one sub at the amp and whala, it bumped nicely. still trying to remember which i wire backwards.

jus a suggestion, idk if u planned on it anyway, but u might wanna buy a lil cushioning [like the cotton padding used for quilting] and install it under the fabric on that upper hinged part if u use it as an armrest. it'll feel MUCH better. good job tho, its pretty tite

Just out of curiosity, because I am working on similar plans. Any vibration with the lid there?

almost none, i can feel it if my arm is resting on it, but it doesnt rattle or anything

i do plan on putting foam padding on all of the top, front to back. i also have some thicker foam pad that is going on the armrest.
