Question Which Sub????

I am looking at a Kicker L7 12, JL W3 12, or 2 JL W3 tens. Which out of these three subs would give the best over all sound (sound quality, lows, hit, and volume). Also should I build my own box or which box would you all recommend, and I am open to any other sub recommendations. I am on about a 325$ budget.

2 w3 10's would give the most bass at lower volumes and sound real good!

Hit/Output - Depends on box design

Lows - Depends on box design

SQ - Depends on box design

well the box has to go under the seat so i am only going to be limited to about 1.2 cubic feet of air. Has anybody built a custom box to go under the seat of a 01-03 supercrew?

i dont even think there is enough mounting depth under the seat to fit any of those subs.

Has anybody heard the new thin line of subs from JL? I would guess that they sound pretty good and they have low airspace requirements. I think that I am headed in that direction right now and I am going to build a box to the exact requirements for the sub

well you get what you pay for with JL and I designed a box for the 13TW5 last night that would fit perfect under my seat

I have two JL 10W3V3's in my 02 supercrew. I bought a musicmoose box off of ebay and it comes with a one inch lift kit for the rear seat which consist of bolts and mdf spacers. I was worried about the seat not folding far enough forward with the install but after seeing another guys box on here I went ahead and used the spacers that came with the kit. I had purchased some 1.5 inch metal square tubing that I made into spacers to give some extra room for the seat to fold down more but I didn't want to spend money on a larger drill bit which is another reason I tried out the provided spacers. I was also worried about room for speaker excurion with the box but so far I haven't had a problem. I haven't cranked these speakers as loud as they can go because I want to give them a little break in time to be on the safe side.

They do sound awesome though and the driver seat feels like a message seat with these suckas. I have an Alpine 1000 watt amp pushing them. The box has 1.2 cf of airspace and the JL recommends 1.25 for these two subs so the match up good. I added a little polyfill to make up the small diff.

Also, the box came with some push in wire terminals that I didn't like so I spent like $10 for so screw on style terminal. When mounting the subs I had to be very precise about centering them so that the screw weren't to close to the edge. If I were to do it again I would have had the musicmoose man cut a slightly smaller hole for them.

Do you have any suggestions on where to get a good box? Are the boxes from supercrewsounds.com any good?

I don't know anything about building sub boxes, or really all that much about car audio. Considering the time it'd take me to learn and figure everything out and then build a box myself, I'd rather just buy a good one, or pay someone to build it for me.
