Help with picking sound system..

First, Im trying to put together a system for rather cheap...Now I know limited about putting all the components of a sound system together. I can do the install just fine, but picking the right stuff to go together is another story. so... here is what ive picked out so far...

Headunit--Sony XAVW1
Sub(s)--1 or 2--Kicker CompVT 07CVT102
Supercrewsound.com--single or dual 10 box
Amp--?
door speakers--??

I need you guys help picking good stuff and what will work and what wont. Also Im not sure what kind of amp ill need and what kind of door speakers will be good? Also will i need to run new wires for the door speakers or can I just run what is there? also should I do single or dual subs?

Thanks!

Do you plan to just run speakers off the Head Unit? Or do you want another amp and amplify your speakers?

If you amp them, you will want to run all new wiring. If you just power then off the Head Unit, the stock wiring will work fine.

Oh, and do 2 subs. Definitely.

if it keeps me from running speaker wire ill run the speakers off the headunit. I know ill have to run wires for the subs and all that..

The budget for speakers/subs/amp/box is preferably under 600 bucks. but that can give a little..

Okay. Since you are running the speakers off the head unit, I highly recommend the Alpine Type S 5x7 speakers. They are direct fit replacements for the stockers, and sound great just off the head unit.

For your amplifier, since you are on such a tight budget, I'd look at the USAMPS xt1000d. You can find it on ebay for around 150 and it is a quality amp. 600w RMS @ 1 ohm, so make sure your subs are both dual 4 ohm when you get them. It should sound pretty good.

the 07CVT102 have dual 2 ohms coils.

the 07CVT104 is the exact same sub with 4 ohm coils. Get these ones if you run that USAMPs amp.

go with a kicker 750.1. it will give your subs alittle more boost since they are the same brand and made to run with each other. look for a seller named woosatech. he sells the 750.1 for half the retail price, and is easy to work with. and by the way........ 4 ohm subs wont work with a 600 watts @ 1 ohm amp....

for door speakers, i recommend Polk Audio db570's or the Alpines. both work great off of the head unit, and dont break the bank. check out Crutchfield.com for prices and info.

you're a noob.

dual 4 ohm subs can each be wired in parallel down to 2 ohm loads. then you wire each of their 2 ohm loads together in parallel down to a single 1 ohm load...do some research before trying to give advice on this. Do you have ANY first hand experience with car audio??

BTW just because they are made by the same company doesn't mean their amps will give a "boost" to their subs...

FX4life, this is the amp i was talking about:

You mentioned wanting Kicker CVT 10s, so that is why i recommended that amplifier (it will provide optimal power for your subs, and is a quality amp at a good price).

Im assuming this is the subwoofer you are looking into:

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+07CVT104.html

With two of those and that amp, you will have a decent budget system.

If you want to go sub shopping though, make sure it has around 5" mounting depth (no more then that) so it will for sure fit under the seat.

I'd also take a look at these, i think these subwoofers are a killer deal (top quality for 90 bucks each)

http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_...products_id=30

These subs will also match that amp very well, just make sure to get them in dual 4 ohm. They are pretty much the ultimate budget subwoofer that will fit well in these trucks without seat modification.

well the whole Ohm load part i was told by the guy that installed my system, so i was just repeating him.

and i guess im not right about the "boost" statement, so i will accept blame for that. im new to systems and all, but i know alittle bit. alittle constructive criticism never hurt anyone....
