STICK OUT?

NO IT HAS ONLY 2.5" DEPTH YOU CAN BUILD A BOX THAT WILL NOT STICK OUT AT ALL ONLY .75 PER SUB

at that price i would rather raise the bench and get proper subs...
or get other low profile subs which are far far less...

when you can use fullsize subs anyhow

The speaker is still like 13" in diameter, so the box has to be at least that deep, plus the thickness of the MDF (plus maybe some buffer zone of air?). Dunno about you, but I think that would probably stick out a little for me, too.

xmax of 9.1? i wonder if they are gonna be able to reproduce the low lows.

Again, JL overprices everything a ridiculous amount.

Hmm....those are cute.

2.5 inches of mounting depth is damn cool though, not gonna lie there. However, the 13.5 inches....plus another 1.5 for wood thickness MINIMUM is a 15 inch deep box as someone else said. Might take up a little extra feet space down on the floor.
