Lightbulb Advice on setup

I'm a newbie to car audio and I need advice on a setup. I have an 03 Fx4 supercrew and was wanting to put a good system in it. I want a nice, full range sound without compromising seating room. This is the setup I was considering.

2- 12" KICKER COMPVT 12" SHALLOW SUBWOOFER
2- Kicker KX400.1 mono amp
Sub box under rear seats...holds 2 12"
4 Kicker Tweeters
(Polyfill??) if I need it??

I was thinking I could put the amps up in the front floor board between the center console and the dash. Since that area is just dead space to put something.....maybe angle the amps into a triangle shape.

I would place the tweeters near the ...aka Oh "S**T" handles in the front (upper front corners) and the other two above the rear seat belts...(upper back corners)

If anyone has any suggestions for a nice setup please inform me! Or any ideas on a better setup. I'm up for any suggestions.

Thanks!

lose the tweeters for starters. waste of money and time and will kill any possible soundstage you could have hoped for. Money is better spent replacing the stock speakers for at the very least a set of decent replacement 6x8s if not a nice set of components. Do that first. If you havent replaced your head unit with an aftermarket unit do that as well. Those two things need to be done prior to you adding subs. The amps will be much better placed behind the rear seat, there is plenty of room back there to fit as many as two or three amps and a couple of crossovers and even a sound processor if done right. This will keep them out of sight from would be thieves, and also keep them from getting hit by random feet and objects while on the floorboard of the truck. If you have the money then definitely try and put a four channel amp on the door speakers, the sound will be much better than if you try and push them to keep up with the subs just on the radio's power. Your sub and sub amp choices seem fine.

Ok... I already have an Alpine head unit that has 18RMS/50peak x 4 channels. And I already have all 4 Alpine SPS-507 5"x7" speakers that has 2-75 watts RMS (230 watts peak power)...

do I need an amp for the door speakers... if so what size or wattage??

look for something in the 50x4 or 75x4 range, that should get the alpines plenty loud for your liking.

supercrew 5x7 replacements - plz comment

I tried 4 polk db 5x7's, lots of people like them, but i thought they added way to much midrange. Used an eclipse 4100 75x4 amp and used the built in sony (cdx-610ui) eq to reduce as much mid as possible, still sounded like out of a coffee can.
theres a difference between loud sound and good sound. one way to tell is if you have an equalizer, move the 1k slider all the way up and all the way down, youll see what i mean. I like it all the way down, then crank up the volume, nice and tight.
The factory speakers have a nice balanced sound but no volume. I put them back in and got rid of the polks. (strange huh). Recently i had 2 dynamatted alpine sps-??? 3 way 6x9's stuffed into the back doors, same problem, major midrange. I dont think theres enough behind speaker airspace for those and ruins any chance at bass. so now i'm pulling those and looking at 6 1/2 components speaks. also have an 10" mtx thunderform. great box! not for major volume but still i highly reccomend it. I'm looking for clean clear blinding volume.
any suggestions would be greatly apprecieated!

03FScrew, i dont know if you are looking for bang for your buck or the best setup. if i were you and were going for best setup, i would:
-use one zx850.2 amp to get the CVT's sounding really good. using one amp instead of two will save you money, will be easier to wire, and make each sub sound the same.
-use some polyfill in the box, but be sure not to over pack it.
-use an amp to power your speakers. your HU wont put out enough power to make them sound good. a kicker zx350.4 (90wx4) would be your best bet.
-amp location is all about preference. put them in a location that has enough room around it for good airflow, and is out of sight, unless you want to show them off.
