Tore apart my dash last night to check the wiring and check the fitting of the dash kit...just bored and getting impatient! Everything fits well, I have 2 harnesses so I dont have to do any splicing....one from factory wiring to universial, and a universial to sony dvd. When I took the factory headunit off, I saw 2 plugs, the larger one that the wiring harness plugs into, and also a smaller one. What i this for? And will I not be using this? If so, I dont have any type of adapters for this.
Its for your aux-in in the tray. If you want to add that to your system let me know, Ill help you with it.

The smaller one is in case you had the factory sub installed. Just leave it where it is. You're not using it now, you won't be using it when everything is installed.

Actually on his its not. He drives an 07. That radio requires the use of an auxillary harness to control the canbus network in his truck. The canbus controls the overhead DVD (if equipped) and the aux-in. Not the audiophile harness OR HE WOULD HAVE 3 PLUGS...

Thanks for clearing that up, I dont plan on using it, as I dont have an ipod, but lets say I did, would it work like the ipod interface allowing me to control through the HU? Or just the same as it does now...by controlling through the mp3 player?

Asking b/c sometimes i hook my blackberry up through the aux and listen to a few songs on my mem card

What is this you speak of that no one has but you? Kinda selfish, isnt it?

The aux-in on top my dash I hardwired in to my Z2 as an aux-in. I have posted how to do it many times.

I must have missed those posts. Doesnt seem like it would be too difficult.

You're right, selfishness is the way to go!
