8" subs which to get?
may I ask why you are getting 8's. Seems like you would gain more with a 10 and not really use too much more space. That is unless you are trying to stuff something under your seat. My 12 eclipse ti fits great in my single cab.

But they wouldn't fit under the seat without a lift. So try something different.

Good luck!! And have fun!!

O and skiptemp they are still 8's. My buddy ran 2 l7 8in kickers. Nothing that special. It was actually kind of a let down being how much he spent.
For the price of 2 of those 8 in Soundsplinter's, I can get a single alumapro or exlipse sub and dump it into a fiberglass / mdf custom molded box made just for that subs specs, and how it sound better and hit harder than those 8's in a generic or custom made box. Not saying 8's are useless. As the pic of that center console needed an 8. It all depends on application. In my mind if you can fit a 10 do it. If you can fit a 12 do it.
Just my opinion. My buddy ended up blowing an l7' got it warrentied. He sold the whole system when he got it back and got 2 10 super slim subs and stuffed em behind his dakota quad cab back seat. I doubt he will ever get 8's again.

if you are looking to use up your back seat then 8's would not be the best choice. This box in the link is a lot of wasted space.

bottom line everyone must choose a size depending on the application and the end result desired.

you are very correct. Interesting enough if you do some digging the plant that the jl 8w7 and the ddaudio 1508 and ascendant audio as well as fi are made is the very same plant that soundsplinter is made. they all share the same technology!!
