He said that the pin needs to be positive and the shield negative.

He said if i hooked the REM up, it would be on at all times and bypass the autosmart function.

FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Removed the sub from the enclosure to find one wire disconnected. Reconnected and I was rockin'.

More sub than I expected. Not theater quality, but not muddy either.

Thanks to all that took the time to help me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope I can return the favor some time.

Thats how it always is.... This rep is sounding smarter by the second....

On all the time... IDIOT REP. The woofer and amp are supposed to be on the entire time the radio is.

Play Moonbaby by Godsmack and you will understand why I say hook that up.

While we are at it...how does turning the bass up or down on the factory HU affect bass quality. Is it simply a gain, or does it affect frequency? What would be a good way to optimize the sub settings?

Leave everything leveled and adjust LP and Gains.

I do like it. Exceeded my expectations.

Yep, I would do the same thing all over again.

I purchased the powered sub. It came with a 200 watt amp. It punches well, hits all the low notes as well as fills mid nicely. I'm not a thumper but think this is pretty impressive for the money.
