DynamatQuestion

Does the dynamat go on the actual door sheetmetal behind the window or does it go on the metal right behind the plastic door panel that the moisture guard is glued to? Or does it matter?

Thanks,
Trent Kammerer

i read that you can remove the moisture guard too if you are gonna dynamat it, or whatever you use.

heres a helpful link if you need it

Yeah, if you want to do it right... I would do both. I have seen many guys put the moisture guard back on though.

Hope this helps,

Following the advice of Bartak and the other audio experts on this forum, I put Dynamat on the inside of the doors, wrapped the support beam next to the inside of the door, put it on the cabin side of the door, and finally put the OEM plastic over the last layer of Dynamat...what a difference this makes! The SQ is superb, the cabin is much quieter, and the doors have the heft and feel of a Rolls. Click on this link to my gallery where I have a number of annotated photo documenting the install of the Dynamat:

For SQ, this attention to detail really paid off IMHO, and the guys on this audio forum rock.

I hope this helps your decision...it's expensive, but $ well spent.
