audiophile vs. single 10" sub

First of all, Happy New Year Everyone !!

I'm leaning towards putting a single 10" sub in a supercrewsound box in my 03 screw and need help comparing how this will sound to the factory audiophile system. I'll be powering the 10" off of a punch 360 - mono @ 4 ohm load = 360 Watts. I'm more concerned with quality over quantity.

In the searches I've done, a lot of people talk good about the ED 11Kv.2 and the ID10D2 v.3 subs because they perform well in such a small enclosure and are relatively inexpensive. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone with either of these subs in order to listen before purchasing and this is where I need yalls expert advice...

The only 2 friends I know that have any type of system both have the stock audiophile systems, one in an 06 FX4, the other in a Lincoln Mark LT truck. For stock, I think they sound pretty good.

How would a single 10" ED or ID sub sound compared to the bass from an audiophile system?

How much improvement would there be over the lower end ID or ED subs if I upgraded to an IDQ v.3 sub?

Thanks guys!

it makes a huge difference over the audiophile subwoofer. way more sound, much cleaner cutoffs, its definitely worth it. You will feel like you finally have a solid lower spectrum to your stereo.

The IDQv.3 is an amazing subwoofer if you can make it fit. Those others ones you mentioned will be just fine for your tastes too.

Will the IDQv.3 sub fit in the supercrewsound single sub box for an 03 supercrew if I add the extra depth?

I think it is just a tad too deep for that box.

Good luck,
