Why move the jack?

Why does the JL box, among others, require removal of the jack? Why don't they simply cut the box off before it interferes with the jack/mount? Is there a certain amount of cubic feet they are looking for to support a 10" sub?

Last question: Anyone make a box that doesn't require me to move the jack?

just put the jack in the bowl of the spare tire under the truck. Put it in a plastic bag if you are worried about it getting weathered.

custom build a box, dont buy a premade one.

if you can help it, custom build it. it will sound better and you can do much more with it

looks good, what do you have, 10s or 12s?

i ended up going with 12s, being the teenager i am haha.

but i wanted it for the rich bass, not the poppy bass. ive heard some 10s that sound amazing and was set on those, but my dad talked me into 12s. they really catch all the frequencies, and they sound great for what i listen to, and hit hard when i want to impress. im glad i made the switch.

just dont have any room anymore, haha

2 12s, 1200w amp, both subs can handle 1200 a piece i think. Just some basic infinity single voice coils.

Any chance you guys can move this to Chris's jackhammer thread so that you aren't hijacking mine? I think my question has been completely lost in your replies.

I don't mean to be rude. I'm just looking for a little newbie help here.

sorry about that, thread jacking happens alot here, and being that your questions were answered i figured it would be ok......but anyways the reason for moving the jack is because the under seat boxes go all the way across and since not everyone is looking for 1 ten they make a box big enough for 2 10's and then just cut either 1 or 2 holes with either 8 or 10" holes, so this way it is cheaper for them

but anyways when asking about a product provide a link so we can better help you and since no link provided i looked up th jl stealth boxes for the new f150's and they dont require moving the jack.......
