alpine type-s

does anyone have the 6x8 alpine type-s speakers? if so how do they sound?

The Alpine Type S 6x8's are really 5x7's. They are the same thing.

Just like Low_e_red stated above, they only make a 2 way in the 5x7.

I have a set in Wifeys expy. I will be upgrading them soon with components. If you want to get a set, send me an email.

i am going to be adding these soon once i get to best buy to purchase them
i can replace the front door ones for now right and do the rears later? moneys tight and all doors are the same size speakers correct?

You got it. Pick up a set of speaker harnesses so they are plug/play... They are only $10 a set.

Circuit City always has them in stock. Also, if you buy them online, they have a will be at the store in 24 hours they take money off program. I cant remember how much though.

we have them at bb too. i think everywhere they are about $15

And type S sound great with just a hu running them.

i got two pairs of type s for christmas, i installed them yesterday. they are just being powered by my HU. i havent really drove around a lot and listened to them but so far im completely happy. definitely an improvement over stock.

i know my mom got them from ebay for pretty cheap. if anyone cares ive been getting all my audio stuff from this guy, autosounds4less. hes got some really good prices.
