I know how to get the back door off if I am looking at it but I can never remember all the screws from memory.
Here is a step by step with photos.

And here is the write up.
If you are replacing the speakers only, the front ones are easy. The silver trim peice around the speakers in the front door just pop off. No door panel removal. As for the rear, there are several steps involved. I just did this a couple of weeks ago.
1) Remove the trim peice at rear edge of window. Pull and it comes off.
2) Remove screw exposed by removal of trim peice, along with 2 screws at bottom of door panel.
3) Remove small access panel inside door handle, remove 2 screws exposed.
4) Remove panel that houses the power window switch, just pops off, remove bolt exposed inside (kind of tricky angle to get this one, but it can be done)
After removal of all screws, lift door panel up and out and it should come right off. Somewhere in the forum there are pictures of each step, so do a search and you should find what you need. Pretty simple procedure, though.
Good luck!

It's really easy.

5) Lift door panel up and out slightly
6) Remove inside door handle from panel (just pops out then twist 90 degrees to fit through opening)
7) Remove panel and set aside.
Thanks bangingd and turtle313. Thats exactly how I did it, and it went by quick and easy.
About the speakers:
Overall you can't beat the quality of the speaker for the price. You will also hear that the sound is much better than stock. The only thing I would suggest is to fade the speakers towards the rear to get a deeper bass sound.

^Thanks Devildog,
Do you have these speakers in your truck? I noticed you recommended the Polk DB571's which i think i may install.
if i did, would you recommend replacing all four or just the front 2? and explain rear fill to me.

About the audiophiles. I just put a set of them in Pop's Excursion. Much cleaner than the stockers.

SQ guys eliminate it all together. Many will only suggest it if you have people ride in the back often or if you plan on going with an audio/video setup and surround sound in the truck. You could start with the fronts only, and then if you end up wanting rears, upgrade the rear. I would concentrate the most of your funds in your front soundstage and substage if applicable. Either way, amp your speakers, you'll never go back...

I dont think I will be amping the speakers. Just not that big of a necessity to me. I just want a cleaner sound coming from upgraded speakers.
I plan on putting the Kenwood DNX 7100 headunit in next month and will probably add at least one set of the polks in during that time. I have the audiophile sub, which provides me the right amount of bass for my personal taste.

I just purchased 4 of these for 26 bucks shipped to my door. For those who installed these in their trucks, how do they sound after a month or so of use? I really don't want to lose what little bass I have left... maybe just replacing the front 2 speakers will allow me to keep some of the pathetic bass I have? My truck has the 6 cd changer but itsn't the audiophile sadly...
