well from the way you make it sound, these would sound a lot better then the audiophile speakers too. mine dont really sound that great, even off my pioneer HU. cant wait to get my polk comps in.

yes indeed, dont care tho, this thread was to be more of an "look everybody heres a really cheap component option that installs in 5 minutes and sounds pretty good for less than $30 bucks" not "I got Alpine 5x7s for $ 140.00 and I think they sound awesome."

I'm not sure how much better these are than the OEM f150 audiophile setup, I don't have the audiophile so I cant make a comment there, I know these were an improvement over the stock 5x7 whizzer speakers, I don't know if it would be worth changing if you already have the audiophile tho

Yeah, I had a set in my old mark 7 lincoln that were similar to these. I dont think that they will be any different than the new audiophile setup found in the F150's. Well, besides the obvious that the tweet and woofer are on the same plate instead of mounted seperately like in the F150's of course.

Looks to be a good find like you said Styx.

X2 on what you said above!

Would these speakers still be plug n play and an improvement for a 2008 Lariat?

Thanks
Joe

It would still be some sort of upgrade for the rears in the audiophile setup.

Yeah, I am messing around with that as we speak. I have always used all 4 but what you guys explain makes perfect sense about rear fill.
