FYI cheap 5x7's
i had to mod mine a little bit to get them to fit. the tweeter stuck out too far and was hitting the gear that rolls down the window. i have manual windows and locks, so i just used some washers and spaced it out a little from the door so that it wouldnt hit. also the plug from my stockers did match the one on these. so i just chopped it off and soldered my wires on. a little bit of work, but i cant complain. they sound much better and were really cheap
Mine should be here today. Here are some instructions/pics I did for the '04+ Supercab speaker access and removal:

I'm extremely satisfied with them, a big improvement over stock for under $20

Wonder how many they sold because of this thread? Thanks again, styxnpicks.
I ordered 4 of them and they arrived today. I just put in the two front one for now and they sound pretty good. More highs, which is what the old ones were lacking. I am think about NOT installing the rear ones and just leaving the originals in. It sounds good now. What to you guys think? If I put the two in the back will I loose all my bass?
These are good sounding speakers @ a great price. Thanks!!!

I think the new speakers handle the bass better than the stockers. I didnt change my rear ones either.
I had so much bass that, when cranked, my mirrors would vibrate badly. Bass you could feel. I lost some of that when I install the two ways in the front but gained highs. It is rumored that the 04 had better sounding radios than the 05+'s. Ford changed radio vendors in 2005.
Installed mine yesterday. It was simple. There is a slight improvement in sound quality. Have to turn it up a little louder to get the same volume it seems but for $30, I'm happy with the results. Now I can use the stock speakers in the garage with my old home receiver.
Thanks Styx!

You'll need to run those in series if your home based reciever is set for 8 ohms and not 4 ohm capable. You'll have 2 speakers running off each channel for 2 total channels but still have stereo. No matter what its rated for, the reciever will probably handle the 4 ohm load until you crank it a bit. Then it'll probably go into failsafe.

help with rear on SCrew
I ordered 4 and popped in the front two in like 5 minutes, then when i got to the back i realized that it wasn't as easy as the front. Does anyone know the trick to replace the back two w/o cracking my door panel? Thanks
