Good question. supercrewsounds has a box with a depth of about 5.75-5.80 that will fit under the seat without a seatlift. I would figure that's about as deep as you can go.

i currently have that box, and if you dont want it to stick out alot, it will be very pressedup to the floor. i cant even slide a finger between my sub and the carpet.

use washed to lift your seat up about an inch, thats what i did. gives your subs more room to breathe. then you can add more bump stops to the box to help lift it a little bit.

With a seat lift you are looking at 6.5-6.75" of depth, easily enough room to fit some nice 12s.

OIC thanks. Yeah I just can't decide on what I want. I do know I don't want anything that sounds like crap and I want some really high quality DEEP bass in my truck, something I can feel. I play mostly rock and roll but every now and then I'll listen to rap/hip hop.

Hello all, new guy here in the middle of this exact same issue. I completley tore my back seats out yesterday and now for the washer lift tomorrow. I wanted the box to sit in flush with seats but as mentioned before, are the subs going to be able to move?? I'll take pics tomorrow if anyone is interested.

with the washer lift, and new blocks on the supercrew sound box, they will be able to move. probably have about an inch or so of space depending on the gain from washer lift
