Will My Amp Power This setup?

I am looking at a sub box on ebay that has a 12" Kicker CVT already installed. The link to that is here.

My amp is a Eclipse XA5000

Where I am kind of lost is the RMS power needed for the Kicker sub. The sub states 400 rms and 800 peak watts. I had circuitcity install a Kenwood dnx7100 and the amp last saturday. I do not know for sure if they wired it for 2 or 4 ohm. Is 300 RMS enough to power this sub at 4 ohm? I have Polk Audio DB 570 speakers in all 4 doors of a 2007 Scab. They are rated at 4 ohm. So the amp specs in that case would be 50x4 at 4 ohm and 300 x 1 for the sub. Can those Polks be run at 2 ohm x 4 and free up the 450 watts x 1 at 2 ohm?. I guess the main point of this si not ending up ordering the wrong sub especially when it is off from ebay. And no returns. Main thing is this amp capable of running this setup or should i go with the Kicker comp with 300 watt maximum power at 4 ohm? I do not want to over buy and regret having something way underpowered. Here is the link to the Kicker 10" 300 watt max sub and box.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You should be fine with the 4 ohm kicker cvt. You might want to get one with the cvr instead though. They have the same power rating, but I think the cvr is better in smaller enclosures. Just because the cvt is a shallow mount, doesnt mean less cubic ft req.

Check it out though...
Good luck either way,

Your system will sound very good. That amp will be fine for what you have.

I looked at the one that comes with the amp and it's only rated for 200 at 4 ohms so the 300 should be fine.

Decided I wanted to do this system right and not have to go back and redo something. So I talked to Mark at Supercrew sound and ordered a box from them. I got the single 10" box that fits under the drivers side rear seat. I did the carpet in the light gray option and the depth modification. That way I can go with the Kicker Comp VR instead of the CVT series. And with a 4ohm dual voice coil I should be able to avoid any clipping that could occur with the single voice coil of the CVT I thought about. Now to have to wait for it is the hard part.
