Very nice, I never thought of using tape to mock it up beforehand. Or is that the finished product?

lol.. the tape work well to see if it fit. All the pieces together actually created a strong hold!

Looks good otherwise wrapping them is the biggest PITA I think
The glue is what creates the real bond... the nails are just used to hold the pieces together until the glue dries and created the strong bond. You can do without nails by using clamps, but the it significantly increases the amount of time you will spend building the box as you have to let the clamps sit for about 60 minutes (depending on the glue) for the glue to get a decent hold.

Screws would work, too, but you risk splitting the wood (which sucks).... and even if you don't, you have a lot of ugly screws.

I'm in the same boat at you. However I'd like to make mine deeper(front to back) and taller(to fill void after seat lift). I'm hoping to get enough air-space to port both my 10's (Fosgate RFD2210 & they want 1.0ft3 per sub)

Anyone done that yet???

you might be able to pull it off, I was able to get 2 cu ft without a seat lift, the seat lift will give you the room you need for the port

So how's the project coming along? I'm growing tired of the stocker in my LT and was looking into something different. Your idea looks promising.

I've used like 10 different glues when building boxes and nothing beats Gorrilla Glue and some good clamps.

I don't think bracing will be necessary. The box is small enough, and lacks any large sides/panels that would be susceptible to flex. Plus, any drivers fitting in there won't be wicked enough to warrant bracing in that shape box IMO.
Lookin' good!

Better yet, can you just post them up with-in this thread, because I'm sure all of us would like to know the dimensions.
