I've been wanting to put a system in my truck for a while but each shop I go to tells me to put in something different. For components and coax 1st one said Focal, which sounded awsome. next one said JBL, but wouldn't have till January. Is JBL worth the wait?

And what about the sub 1 Pioneer 10" slim vs 1 JL 10w3v3. Had 2 Solo-barics L5's in my last truck but want to keep the jack this time.

I would use the JBL's for subs. As far the other speakers go (tweeters/midrange) I would get something else and not wait on the JBL's. If you get a chance see if someone will let you hear the Boston Acoustics.

 

JBL C508GTi MKII components. Wuld Bostons be better than Focals?

 

I'd like BA or focal and wouldn't go for JBL.... But it's what sounds best to you

 

Boston Pros, apline type x, pioneer prs, rainbow soundlines, theres better stuff out there then the jbls.

 

every shop will tell you the brand they sell is better. that's why you do the research on the net first. focals are awsome, but you have to get the K2P line.

 

Nice Spks!! I love the GTi MKII's a friend completely redid his whole car with those and DAMN!! Plus Metra made a SQ car with those and again the same. I was EXTREMELY PLEASED! Can be a tad harsh tho.

Not a fan of BA. Sound good but blow WAY too easy.

Focal ive always found them hit or miss. If in great location excellent but off-axis they are so so.... Not something Id write home to mom about but not bad either..
