would this be a decent setup

i am planning on putting 4 12's in my truck audiobahns and for amp fun a hifonics crunch amp 3000 watts@1ohm (is that peak or rms what it will actually push, are these good amps or no) the subs are 700 rms a piece so will this setup have the right amount of power. and for powering everything will my batter and alternator be able to handle all of that, also are crossovers important to add in your system or no

the sub

ill make a suggestion. ive owned/installed a lot of audiobahn subs and that specific model isnt a great one. i recommend their Alum Q line and their flame Q line. those are the best audiobahn has when looking for something that will play loud and sound decent at the same time.

the alum12n woofers have the exact same mounting depth and size as those ones you listed, and i guarantee you they will play louder and more clear. excellent efficiency as well. i have the 10" version in my truck currently.

with that specific amp you could wire up 3 of the alum12n's and have a perfect 1000 RMS to each at 1ohm.

and you will definitely need to do electrical and alternator upgrades, and get at least one optima yellow top battery.

I used to have one ported (mine was actually the flame compression model, aw1008t). although it wasnt as clear in the ported box it sure put out a LOT of sound.

Considering that box doesn't look very big unless it extends into the bed somehow, I think you need measure out how big of a box you can fit back there.

*Make a cardboard mock up of a box like you would want.
* Then make a 1 cube cardboard box.
*Then fill the cardboard mock up with packing peas.
* Transfer the packing peas from the mock up box to the 1 cube box, to give a rough estimate of how much space you have

*remember mdf is 3/4 in thick on all sides, that will mean less space when you make an mdf box

Then maybe I can reccomend some better stuff.
