Are the songs you are trying to put onto an mp3 disc ones that you purchased through iTunes?

If they are you can not convert them to mp3 without the use 3rd party software to remove the DRM tags.

Anyone with iTunes, put the mouse over a song you purchased, right click and in the drop down click on "convert Selection to mp3".

See what the message says. Unless you got the music from somewhere else, or use a program to ditch the DRM tag you will never be able to fit more than 15-20 songs on a disc through I tunes.

Burn it to a disc and import back. It works.

With windows XP,
- Insert a blank CD
- Select "open writable CD folder from the auto start menu that pops up
- Drag your MP3s files into that folder. It wouldn't let me do this directly from Itunes. But if you find the File Location (the actuaul folder the file is in on your computer), you can drag them from there.
- Then when you have your list, click "write these files to CD"
