boxes by XE designs and MTX Thunderform boxes

Hey, have any of you tried the boxes from XE-Designs? They look pretty good. I found them for as cheap as $68 shipped for a single down firing 10" for my 2005 Super Cab. Any of you have any experience with these?

Also, have any of you tried the MTX Thunderform box/sub combo with a single 12?

Thanks!!!

I use XE boxes all the time. I know Jeremy, the owner of the company. My favorite box from them is thier dual 12" with L ports. Damn that box hits hard. Have never had a disatisfied customer with that box and two DB Drive PLW 12s.

The F150 box is a good box. It has a limited depth like any box and sub combo.

The MTX Thunderform box is a great box too. I do many of them for local Ford dealerships that are looking for a Audiophile type system for a truck that is not equipped with one or wanting to upgrade the stereo all together. The only drawback for the thunderform is that it's vehicle specific. You ever get into a different truck or something. That box is only for the F150 where if you went with a sub, box, amp setup you could always ditch the box and get a new one for your new vehicle.

their site is http://www.xedesign.com/ and I was wrong about the price - the $68 is for models up through 2003/4. The one for my 2005 is about $20-30 more.

KC - thanks for the reply. I'm not to worried about the MTX being vehicle specific. I'd get one with an external amp that way the only thing that would be specific to my truck would be the box - same situation either way.

Do you think the MTX has good sound quality? I already have an amp and I'm trying to keep it under $250 for box and sub. Idealy I'd like to have a single speaker so I have the passenger side for amps. I was thinking I should go with a single 12" and MTX is the only one I've seen offering that for the supercab.
