hi folks i,m new here just bought a 2005 f150 fx4 . i want re install factory sub what wires do i hook up . there is a gray box attached to the box with a 10 pin connectorand a smaller connector with 2 black and white wires plus 2 blck wires. then there is 2 black and white wires plus 2 black wires comming from the inside of the speaker box itself . my? is do i need a 10 pin conn. and where do i get it .plus i could use a wiring diagram or directions . any help would be appreciated thaks

did your truck originally have the stock sub in there? if it did, then search around underneath the carpet under your backseat, the connector for the amp should be under there. if your truck didnt originally have the stock sub, then i think you need to have the dealership put in the wiring from the Head Unit to the sub's amp. heres pics of what mine used to look like before i took it out:

yes thats exactly how mine lokks the wires are there for the 10 pin but no connector . thanks ,any idea what this conn. is called and where to get one?

 

so you have the wires that come out of the floor? you just need to little plastic connector?? your best bet will probably be the dealership, i dont really know. thats wierd that you would have the wires but not the connector...

 

what someone did was cut the connector off and install an after market stereo system semmed to use the wires to control a amp and sub. so i guess i,ll need a connector for power i suppose . i don,t know what all the wires control ie the ten pin connector thanks
