anyone know if this is a good subwoofer? i know a lot of people think RE is overrated and over priced, but this sub looks like it would work well in our trucks. 5.25" depth. im not planning on buying one, just curious on opinions.

It probably wouldnt be to bad of a woofer. RE makes some fairly nice stuff.
That is a new model (post USAmps buyout) so I dont think many people have any SRs, considering if they were made before the buyout you could have bought them for 100 bucks probably.

Assuming it works in a smaller enclosure, it probably wouldnt be a bad option, just goin off what RE used to be.

 

ya i want to upgrade to two tens to evenly distribute the sound in my cab, and having 2 of these audiobahns would be sucking way too much power for my truck to handle. im pretty sure im going to go with IDQs but i was just lookin around and came across those things and wanted to see what people thought.

I was also checking out those brand new infinity kappas, they look half decent. their mounting depth is only 4.75" and based on some reviews they seem to be alright in trucks. bbut its mostly between the IDQs and the REs.

Its just really hard to find any info on the REs since, like you said, nobody has them.

 

Theyre actually quite musical subs. Unfortunately caught a bad rap awhile back for being noted as Only SPL drivers.

 

are you talking about RE subs in general or about these specific RE model SRs?
