New sub stage maybe...any ideas???
Has anybody seen or tried these. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/p...on/icon10.html
If my ID10 don't do what I want I was looking at this so I don't have to get another box. The company is checking to see if it'll fit.

It's Not The Size - It's The Air
For tight, musical deep bass, the driver size is not nearly as important as the mounting box. I have a large interior (super crew) with only 1 10" sub. However, it is a Memphis Audio sub mounted in their custom enclosure. MA makes a custom box especially for the supercrew, and it fits underneath the rear seat like a glove. Yes, they could have drilled a hole for 2 subs, or a 12" sub, but it would not matter. For the size of the box, limited by the dimension of being under the seat, there was only enough air for one 10" driver. My son likes Hip Hop, and I'm tellin' ya, if the bass is in the recording, it's fillin' the truck.

there is no replacement for displacement.... the more of it you have the better.. wether it be bigger drivers more excursion, more drivers or all three, good drivers can only get you so far without the proper enclosure. sadly there isn't a lot of room under our seats to play with and still have optimum boxes, the good thing about sealed boxes is that you can be WAY off the recommended airspace and itl still work and sound halfway decent. but still I chose to fit as much driver under my seat as possible and keep the Q as close to .707 as possible... its like having your cake and eating it too. just imagine 4 8's in a sealed box with a .707 Q fed by 1800watts..... now if I could just get off my lazy *** and finish the damn box

Now that is good stuff my friend. I will be laughing at your B & M trip for quite a while. One of the reasons I do not visit them any more. Not that I know anything in the big picture but, I hate going in to these places and these kids acting like I could know nothing about car audio. It's like they are trained for "give me your money and take what I recommend". I better start looking in to the JL stuff since it is the be all of subs and amps

Even the installer I had build the box said it was probably the best 10" sub install he had ever heard. If the new generation of TDX is still as good as the old ones, they are right up there with the IDMAX in my opinion.
been there, done that too ..

Yep, I like going into the shops and playing around with stuff and looking on my own, but when they come and try to talk/sell I get aggrevated
I did a little reading on that Eclipse SW8000 driver. Everyone is saying they like a MUCH bigger box then reccomended (like 1 cube for a 10). Sposed to be somewhat like the TC Sounds LMS4000 after a little reading. Don told me to call him to talk about it too.
Told me about a pair of RE SE 10's he's pulling out of his car that I might be interested in. I dunno though...
