installed 2.5 inch lift

Hey guys... I talked to my gf's dad and he could make them but he said that its not worth it and that the price for the LMI lift is really not a bad price. WAS TO ME!! ha. but i got it installed and just went with the 2.5 because it seems to be plenty of room for the 12s. If i ever did run into problems then i could easily sling those 1/2" spacers in there to get a lil extra room. I also lifted the seat back up also. Looks way better and closer to stock.

Volcom..... u know where the clips slide down into the rear wall behind the seat back? All i did was get sum brackets like you said but i slid them into the wall (Making where the clips slide in, higher. Welded me a nut on the back and screwed it on using those factory drilled holes back there. Took 5 minutes and it is like factory. Great idea to raise the seat back also. But what did you do with that plastic piece on the high part of the seat belt? the bolts dont reach anymore. Step 1 complete. Step 2: the box

Volcom... be ready for some more questions as i build the box... thanks bro

lol not a problem, ask away. thats a great idea to weld a bolt to a bracket, wish i had access to a welder, that sounds like its alot more secure than what i did :X but i think itll be ok

for that top piece, i just squished it down behind the seat. its no longer sitting ontop the seat how it was, its wedged between the window and the seat. then i just put the bolts back on like it was.

and btw, just had a passanger in by back seat, no complaints about leg room lol

Why does the seat lift sound complicated, well at the back part of the seat?

because baker and i both decided we wanted to lift the seat back also. the way the lmi kit comes, you leave the seat back in the stock location, and your only raising the lower part. so we did a little bit of modification and raised that too!

Its not hard to install. Just need sum muscle because those bolts holding it to the floor have lock tite on them and can be a pain but thats all. If you leave the seat back where it is, it is not complicated at all and they give you instructions. Like volcom said.. if you raise the seat back you have to play with it a bit and make your own adjustments.
Volcom... i cut the lmi bracket to give me more room and you were right. The seat is plenty strong. didnt even budge. And where did you get your carpet from? Places around here are givin me hell. my carpet is black.

$155 is just a hard pill to digest for the seat lift.
How long did it take to get after you ordered it?

I'm Drew, pleased to post with you
I had two ED11kv 10" subs which was fine since I did not want to go with a seat lift..... Boy how things change
