need help
I just bought some JL Audio XR650-CSi components for the front speakers in my truck. I was wondering if any of you helpful people could help me out with some advice on installing them in the 5x7 holes. Is there some type of adapter or something to make this work? There must be cause I got the advice to buy these from people on here, so I know it's been done. Thanks for any help and it is very appreciated.
Here is the adapter I had made for mine.

Its centered over the factory hole, and depending on how big of a mounting hole you need, you might have to trim a little of the factory speaker hole.
My adapter was VERY thin too, under 1/4". Not exactley the best for mounting a mid on, but its all that would work otherwise the speaker fit to far away from the door and the surround slapped the door panel.

Not that i'm not handy or anything I just want something that I know works. So I looked at these on eBay. What do you think of any of these?

P.S. I also have the tweeters to mount also. I read somewhere else that the drivers are too deep to fit in a front door of an 02 F150. Any truth to that anyone?
