SI BM Q's???

SI BM Q's???

for those who own or have heard an SI BM 12", would it sound good in a sealed box with 3FT^3 with 1200 watts RMS? would a sealed enclosure not be good for it? please enlightin me

I dont think I would run 1200 wrms to one...especially in 3 cubes.

Thats kinda power is more towards the Mags territory.

It would sound good for about 2 seconds before the smoke rolled in.

I agree. That is pushing it quite a bit. Like Bartak said, that is Mag territory.

sorry guys, I meant for 2 Bm's in 3cubes. 1.5 each after driver displacement

Oh 1500w on 2 BM12's. That's what I'm pushing with about that much air space as well. They do sound damn good but I can't really compare the BM12 to anything else since my budget don't let me do many changes. If I had the cash I'd probably get a pair of Mags instead.

well, my budet for subs is ~450. the amp is an old rockford my bro-in-law is lending me until I get one of my own. it does 1250watts at 1ohm. can they handle that much?

mine handle around 750w RMS each daily.


But like anything else you mileage may vary.

Impact where did you buy your BM's from? And are you running them at 2ohms?

I got them from low-hz.com running together at 1 ohm to get my 1500w out of the 4000D.
