to seat lift or not to seat lift

I'm looking at adding a fi ssd or q 10" which has a mounting depth of 6-6.5" my question is can I get away without a seat lift? I'm looking at making a fiberglass box so I can make clearance for the mag similar to the qlogic box. just wondering if it is possible?

5 3/4 is the max speaker depth you can squeeze under the seats without the lift. So keep searching. But the kick azz BM10 J recommends would fit the bill.

So you guys don't like fi? Ive heard nothing but good things... well then what do you guys recommended? I have 1 Infinity perfect 10 that I am not happy with at all. so I am looking to upgrade, I also have a qlogic box that a piece (It separated from the mfd) So if I would be that much happier with a seat lift and making my own box for a sub or subs then so be it. I just want the best bang for my buck and want it done right. I have a Kenwood KAC-9152D amp so I need something In the 900w rms range. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks

Ed

I moved up to 2 BM12's. But I think any supercrew sound box would work fine for a pair of 10's.
