Audiophile sub/speakers

I have read a lot of the threads on this subject but need some info please. I want to add the factory audiophile h.u. and sub to my 06 screw. I bought the sub/amp off ebay already and am searching for a deal on a h.u. My question is I hear that the audiophile h.u. cuts out the lows in the door speakers and the sub picks up the lows, do I need to change my door speakers out too or will they work?? Also does the factory audiophile systems have tweeters somewhere too? Also if you can point me in the right direction for the harness from h.u. to sub. I checked and I don't have one in my truck. I would like to get a ready made factory one. Anybody got the part# for the factory harness? Worse comes to worse I can just make one I guess.

No you won't, they will work. That's the crossover separating the low freq's from the high freq's. Your OEM speakers will actually do a little better not having to play those low end excursions along with the rest of the range.

Your '06 Screw already has the holes for the tweeters behind the speaker grill in the fronts. Just pry off the grill and you will see both your midbass and the tweeter hole. You will have to buy tweeters to fit. My 1 inch metallic dome tweets fit perfectly.

I may misunderstand but you said you bought a sub amp? If so then you'll need to run an RCA or pre-out from your HU to the sub amp, then connection from the amp to the subwoofer, or is this an OEM sub amp? I'm not too familiar with the OEM 'audiophile' set up myself. Maybe someone else here can help. On my 2005 screw the wiring for the subwoofer is behind the rear benchseat back. It connects directly to the OEM subwoofer I believe. Lot's of threads on this. Use the search button.
