You have to pinpoint where the rattle is coming from and fix it. Foam, tape, more sounddener...how to fix it depends on whats rattling.

Maybe its where the top and bottom panel overlap?

Could it be the actual speaker hitting the panel? Because its rattling, but it's almost as if they might be blown.

Could be; the surround hitting the panel can make a sound like that. Im not sure how much room there is between the panel and the speaker, but I would think it would have to be a speaker with some pretty high excursion to hit it.

The speaker is screwed in tightly?

Maybe even tinsel lead slap from the speaker. This is when the tinsel lead (the wire that runs from the terminal on your speaker, to the voice coil in the center) 'slaps' the cone and makes a very annoying sound.

I'll pop the panel off in a couple of days to see whats going on. I'm not sure but I'm thinking of taking the rear ones out, or adding bass blockers to them. I am currently running type r components in the front and type r coaxiels in the rear. Along with two infinity subs. what do you think of removing/bass blockers? I also have amps powering them.

Does your amp or headunit have a built in crossovers? I don't much care for bass blockers. I would remove the door panels and see if you still have the rattle.

Just guessing here but in the past I have had the door lock rod rattle alot so you might check that.

I have a supercab so the other thing I thought was it was the door latch, since it is right above it. The amp I am using to power the speakers is an alpin3 mrv-345. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+MRV-F345.html

Like Impact said, Just set the HighPass crossover on either your HU or your amp at something like 70-80ish Hz.

9855 is one of Alpine's higher end units; I would sure think it has built in crossovers. How to use it, I have no idea.

Have you looked on Alpines website to see if you could download a manual?
