Does anyone have pics of the center console ripped out of a 04+ screw? Once summer comes around I'll be making a box, just curious what I get to work with and how it comes apart

2 jl audio 12 w7's

Check my pics out, it may give you some ideas about what you want to do with the subs. https://www.f150online.com/galleries...cfm?gnum=10523. Im actually getting Soundz to build another box as we speak for 3 JL Audio 12w7's to replace this one.

Funny you mention that. I have an older 10" round Solobaric in the garage in a square box. Had that thing for years and it still works well. It's just sitting now on my junk shelf.

I've been playing around with the idea of an 8" square solobaric in the center console. I use all of the space in my truck and it's not worth it for me to sacrifice space for a big sub box. I fold up the rear seats for my pup to ride along, so a box under the rear seat won't work. The required volume of .33-.75 seems like it would fit and leave a little room for the remaining space as the console storage.

Anyone got any ideas/info/comments?

Why do people insists on adding subs to a vehicle and make it impossible to sit in. I have 2 down fire crossfire tens with 320 watt amp. It shakes everything. I can't imagine having 2 12's or more.

Sorry I can't help you with the 08 console, but I can tell you what I do know.
I played around with the 01 console a lot before I ended up using reinforced mdf and just pieced it in the actual console, screwed it together, jointed it, sealed, and glued it. Ended up with .38 f3, which is a little on the small side for a box for a 8" solo L7, but it works. I will tell you the .75 box I had in the Yukon sounded a lot louder. I'm not sure it was due to the size or environment it was in (different cab, glass, firing up). But in my opinion, I can't find a better sounding setup than the in-console for a pickup. The low end is right there and images nicely with the mids/tweets in the doors or if you're really lucky the q forms that go down in the kick panels. Anyway, hope that helps JimmyV
