What a coincidence! I just installed a FUBAR 12" with a ported box and a Power Acoustik Plasma Sphere 1440w amp yesterday. Before you brought it up, I thought that I was the only one that knew about Power Acoustik. I cannot tell you how it compairs to other systems because I just got into sub thump'n. I can tell you that it is LOUD and when you have it all the way up my rear window flexes A LOT! I have the box on the rear seat behind the driver seat and I can feel the steering wheel kick.

As of right now I am the loudest at my school of 2,600+ students. The next closest is a neon with two 12"s and a 1000w amp (which shakes the car to pieces and sounds like garbage), and two MTX 12"s and a <1000amp in an older blazer (which can come pretty close to my system).

My only question is price: What are you going to pay for the sub. I got mine because we are a private dealer so the price was better than right. The next best place that I saw was e-bay. Good luck and please get back to me.

No longer a fan of PA, like the old saying goes " you get what you pay for." Though I ran a set of there 12's that I loved but this was almost 6 years ago. They were made out of kevlar back then, sounded allright but I was running some 1000 watt hifonics amps to them and wound up blowing them to pieces.

Personally used one? No. Heard a few? Yes. Would I ever use one? Not a chance.

Really? Why is that? I found that what I was adjusting my amp. if the settings were off, it was way off, but once I found the sweet spot it kicks a**!

I hate to sound like a jerk, but you didn't get the memo? "you get what you pay for" does not apply to audio equipment. I am part of a private dealership and know what the big stores pay for this stuff and the mark up is a joke. On speakers/subs the markup is anywhere from 200% at the bottom end to well over 1000%! None of this stuff is worth that much. I paid just over $225 for my amp., sub, wiring, and box (at dealer cost). Best buy wants $160 for the 12" PA FUBAR sub that I got for $72. Once you get into the higher dollar items the markup gets worse.

Just my $.02

Again I respectfully say "you get what you pay for". Even at dealer cost. . . Whom I know a few of, and even high end products at dealer cost are not cheap. And most companys wont let just anyone with a tax I.D. and a business licence rep there products. If you are going for something that you are just driving around and listning to for good sounds in your car $200 bucks isn't bad, So get what wont break you and sounds nice. But as far as "you get what you pay for" it is in every since true.

I personally would run anything a company calls FUBAR.
